Use Rust to strengthen 1Password’s Everyday Experience team, working remotely in Canada or the United States. Own complex systems from design through delivery.
This Intermediate Developer role focuses on reliable, usable, trusted customer experiences across daily product surfaces and workflows. You will work across cross-platform foundations, backend services, CI/CD, operational workflows, and production support. Collaboration includes Product, Design, Security, Browser, Backend, and Infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan solutions using established development, security, and quality practices
- Develop testing strategies and maintainable production code
- Participate in refinement, prioritization, and group estimation
- Provide thoughtful peer feedback through code reviews
- Suggest improvements in repositories, tooling, and IDE integration ergonomics
Requirements:
- Experienced developer with strong knowledge of Rust
- Ability to ramp quickly into complex, ambiguous codebases
- Comfort making pragmatic tradeoffs across competing technical priorities
- Collaborative approach across multiple product and engineering disciplines
- Robust backend services experience in Go is a bonus
