These residential programs provide supervision, support and a safe, stable environment for adults transitioning from federal institutions or secure hospital settings to the community. Staff work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support clients with diverse and complex needs, including mental health concerns and those under community supervision or with a Not Criminally Responsible disposition.Responsibilities:Delivery of services in a client-centred, strength-based approachCompletion of accurate written documentation, data collection and entry, intakes and assessmentsContribute to the management of a high-risk,



high-needs client base by being a member of a multidisciplinary teamEnsure services are being delivered in accordance with Agency Policies and ProceduresEnsure residents have access to and are provided food orders in accordance with policies and proceduresContribute to a positive culture by assisting and supporting colleagues as needed by encouraging the team, and teaching others about the unit's operationsMaintain a safe and secure environment for staff and clientsUpholding the standard of cleanliness in staff and client areasParticipate in Monthly Program Meetings by contributing ideas, providing feedback, and helping to ensure recent directions are implemented effectivelyQualifications / Skills:Working towards a Degree or Diploma in the human services field with related experienceClear Criminal Record Check, Enhanced Reliability Clearance and Canadian Border Services Agency Reliability Clearance if applicable, and valid First Aid/CPRSkilled in effective communication and fostering pro-social relationshipsAbility to communicate effectively with a mental health and high-risk offender populationAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary treatment teamKnowledge of the Criminal Justice System and Mental Health PopulationConditions of Employment:The successful candidate must be able to work shift work (including holidays, weekends, evenings and overnight shifts) and be available for a minimum of six shifts per month, two of which must be overnightsThe hours of work are 6:45am-3:00pm, 2:45pm-11:00pm and 10:45pm-7:00am shifts.
