What is the opportunity?
We're looking for a hands‑on, execution‑first Manager, YouTube & Affiliates to lead the day‑to‑day development of our YouTube content and our affiliate partnerships. This is a role for someone who thrives in the weeds - equally comfortable developing video as they are managing affiliate publishers and optimizing content for search‑driven conversions. You'll own the full lifecycle of two connected content engines: a YouTube channel that turns complex topics into digestible, high‑performing video narratives, and an affiliate program that guides, and optimizes partner publisher content. The throughline is execution - you are the person making the work happen, not just planning it. You'll set the editorial calendar, produce video assets end‑to‑end, manage affiliate relationships, and track performance across both programs - refining what works and cutting what doesn't.
What will you do ?
- End‑to‑End Ideation: Manage the full editorial calendar from concept through publication - including ideation, keyword research, target demographic analysis, and final platform publishing.
- Script & Narrative Development: Write, edit, adapt, and refine high‑performing video scripts that break down topics into digestible, consumer‑friendly narratives.
- Production & Post‑Production: Independently shoot, record, and edit platform‑native long‑form videos, YouTube Shorts, and agile social teasers.
- Platform Optimization: Own asset optimization - drafting platform‑native copy, descriptions, tags, timestamp chapters, and directing high‑conversion thumbnail design.
- Brand Alignment: Implement and maintain enterprise brand standards and visual guidelines across all output, ensuring a consistent and premium look and feel.
- Partner Management: Onboard, and guide affiliate publishers, providing them with clear content guidelines and ongoing support.
- Performance Tracking: Analyze content performance and conversion rates to refine and optimize content performance.
- Balance priorities across both programs and keep output on schedule without sacrificing quality.
- Establish and track KPIs for video performance (views, watch time, CTR, subscriber growth) and affiliate performance (traffic, conversions, commission revenue), and report on them regularly.
- Stay current on YouTube algorithm changes, platform features, and SEO best practices, and adapt strategy accordingly.
What do you need to succeed?
- 5+ years demonstrated experience creating and publishing YouTube video content end‑to‑end - from concept and scripting through shooting, editing, and platform publishing. A portfolio or channel we can review is required.
- Working knowledge of YouTube SEO - titles, descriptions, tags, chapters,
thumbnail strategy - and a track record of optimizing content for discovery and CTR.
- Strong video production and post‑production skills, including the ability to independently shoot, record, and edit long‑form video, Shorts, and social teasers.
- Experience writing and refining video scripts that translate complex or technical topics into explicit, engaging consumer narratives.
- Experience managing affiliate or partner content programs, including publisher recruitment, onboarding, and performance tracking.
- Comfort analyzing performance data (CTR, conversion rates, etc.) and translating it into content decisions.
- Familiarity with digital asset management tools and workflows.
- Understanding of personal finance, markets, or the Canadian banking landscape is considered an asset for this role.
What's in it for you?
- A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including bonuses and flexible benefits, competitive compensation, commissions, and stock where applicable:
- Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities
- A world‑class training program in financial services
- Flexible work/life balance options
- Opportunities to take on progressively greater accountabilities
- Opportunities to building close relationships with stakeholders and business partners
