Lead structural design in Calgary using RISA-3D, ETABS and SAFE while owning building projects from concept through construction support.
Design Works seeks an Intermediate Structural Engineer with P.Eng. registration through APEGA. You will manage structural scopes for multi-family residential, commercial and institutional buildings across Alberta and Canada. The work includes calculations, drawings, specifications, coordination, site reviews and client communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own structural design from concept through construction support
- Model projects in RISA-3D, ETABS and SAFE
- Coordinate with architects and in-house engineering disciplines
- Review construction, shop drawings, RFIs and field issues
- Mentor junior engineers and designers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering
- P.Eng. with APEGA in positive standing
- Around 4–6 years designing building structures, including EIT years
- Wood-frame multi-family residential design experience
- Working proficiency in AutoCAD and clear English communication
