Shape Commercial Property architecture with microservices, Kafka, and OpenAPI 3.1 for EPAM Systems, Inc.’s greenfield insurance platform. As a Solution Architect, you will define target-state architecture and governance deliverables for a contemporary Commercial Lines ecosystem. You will work with Product, Underwriting, Actuarial, Engineering, and Data Engineering teams. The platform supports underwriting, rating, policy administration, carrier management, and third-party integrations.
Key Responsibilities
Define service boundaries, bounded contexts, and data ownership Design Kafka domain events, schemas, versioning,
and replay Author OpenAPI 3.1 contracts before Engineering implementation Design insurance hierarchies and NAICS exposure extensions Maintain C4 diagrams, ADRs, contracts, and data models
Requirements:
8+ years in solution or enterprise architecture Greenfield microservices platform delivered through production P&C; insurance experience, preferably Commercial Lines Production event-driven architecture with Kafka or equivalent OpenAPI 3.1 and independently deployable service design experience Apply Commercial Lines expertise to architecture governance, event design, API contracts, and auditable insurance data models.
