Lead high-voltage electrical operations for ALVANCE British Aluminium’s Power & Hydro team in Fort William, supporting safe systems and engineering improvements. Relocation support is available for successful candidates. As Senior Electrical Engineer, you will report to the Head of Power & Hydro. You will support safe operation and maintenance across site distribution systems, Power & Hydro assets, and the Smelter. The role combines project delivery, technical expertise, and engineer development.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain protected operational systems for HV and LV distribution Control and supervise switching across site electrical networks Manage electrical engineering projects through commissioning and closeout Provide Power & Hydro asset maintenance expertise Train engineers, IOs, SAPs, graduates, and site personnel
Requirements:
Senior electrical engineering capability supporting HV and LV networks Knowledge of UK legislation and company electrical standards Ability to manage contractors to site standards Capability developing internal engineering standards and documentation Availability for the Power & Hydro on-call rota Apply your high-voltage engineering, project management, and technical leadership expertise across ALVANCE British Aluminium’s Fort William operations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
