Design satellite power electronics at MDA Space using high-frequency PCB design and power supply expertise. Contribute to space-based systems with world-leading specialists. As a Power Electronics PCB Designer, you will develop motor drive units, DC power systems, telemetry, and control circuits. The work supports satellites and other space-based systems, including Aurora Program products and Telesat Lightspeed satellites. You will translate technical requirements into board designs while collaborating across disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
Design power electronics solutions on PCBs for space applications Capture schematics, define layout constraints, and run simulations Perform FMECA, worst-case, and power budget analyses Oversee parts placement, layout,
and long lead items Support testing, debugging, and environmental testing
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Minimum five years designing high-frequency power supplies and PCBs Expertise in Full Bridge and high-frequency power systems Proficiency with Mentor Xpedition, PADS, OrCAD, or PSPICE Fluent French and English; security clearances required Apply power electronics, PCB design, simulation, and analytical skills to MDA Space satellite systems and missions.
