Lead strategic sourcing for custom manufacturing projects as a Buyer in Scarborough, Ontario, using supplier negotiation and purchasing expertise. This full time hybrid role requires onsite work at least three days weekly.

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will manage raw materials and fabricated components across diverse projects. The Buyer coordinates competitive quotes, supplier relationships, purchase orders, delivery schedules, and production planning. You will collaborate with Project Management, Cost Estimation, Account Management, and Production to protect quality, budgets, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage sourcing activities across custom manufacturing projects
Evaluate quotes and negotiate supplier pricing
Issue purchase orders and monitor supplier commitments




Align material availability with production schedules
Resolve supply issues and improve purchasing processes

Requirements:
Experience sourcing materials or components in project-based manufacturing
Knowledge of metal fabrication or related manufacturing environments
Proficiency in Excel and ERP or MRP systems
Ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
Transparent communication, negotiation, and supplier collaboration skills
