This entry-level mechanic’s helper position develops vehicle maintenance experience under a lead technician or supervisor. You will assist with component repairs, replacements, adjustments, and routine servicing while learning through technical and qualified training. Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles as trained
Assist with major component removal, replacement, and repair
Repair or replace brakes, cab components, and accessories
Complete minor trailer maintenance and electrical repairs
Maintain work area appearance and safety
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Current enrollment in an apprentice program
One to two years vehicle repair experience preferred
Working knowledge of hand tools required
Class G or class 5 driver’s license required
