This full time, 10-month position runs from January 4 through June 30, 2027. The Educational Assistant supports prescribed programs in individual and group settings. Duties include implementing Individualized Education Plans, assisting with lessons, and reporting student development. The role also involves behaviour management, personal care, and general classroom duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist prescribed programs for special needs students
Support transitions from home to school
Implement Individualized Education Plans with teachers
Observe and report student development
Assist with behaviour management and personal care
Requirements:
Completed educational assistant program or equivalent
Minimum one year working with children
Positive and empathetic attitude toward students
Ability to perform toileting and lifting tasks
Basic computer software knowledge
