As a Senior Mechanical Designer, you will own mechanical design from concept through commercialization and sustaining. You will develop advanced analytical instrumentation with scientists and engineers. The work includes prototypes, testing, GD&T;, DFx, and product documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Design mechanical technologies for current and next-generation mass spectrometry products
Translate requirements into functional prototypes through hands-on development
Deliver CAD models, GD&T; drawings, analyses, and bills of materials
Track issues, schedules, and design milestones through project completion
Support quality,
reliability, manufacturability, and cost improvements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline
10+ years designing high-technology electromechanical systems and subsystems
Proficiency with industry-standard 2D/3D CAD tools
Robust knowledge of ISO GPS and/or ASME GD&T; principles
Experience with DFx methodologies, DFMEA, and design workflows
Apply mechanical design, prototype development, CAD, and GD&T; expertise to SCIEX mass spectrometry innovation in Concord.
