Architect space-based missile defense perception systems using C++, infrared imagery, and multi-object tracking onsite near Denver or Long Beach. Turn sensor data into trusted object understanding.
As a Perception Engineer, you will develop algorithms that distinguish objects across sunlight, shadow, and Earth backgrounds. Your work spans multi-band EO/IR processing, physics-based features, phenomenology, tracking filters, and flight software integration. You will validate performance through high-fidelity simulations and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
Key Responsibilities: Drive image processing, tracking, and discrimination pipeline architecture
Implement multi-band EO/IR processing algorithms in C++
Model thermal, optical, illumination, and detector phenomenology
Design tracking for closely spaced maneuvering objects
Integrate validated algorithms into flight software
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline
Experience with C/C++ and Python
At least two years implementing image processing algorithms
At least two years implementing detection and tracking algorithms
Experience deploying algorithms in real-world systems
Build dependable perception for True Anomaly’s missile defense systems through EO/IR processing, tracking, modeling, and validation.
