As a Development Lead, R&D;, you will support products from early research through current product introduction and ongoing production support. Your technical background may center on one field, with related experience supporting broader responsibilities. Growth into the role is expected as seniority and expertise develop.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate prototype research, evaluations, and technical reporting
Support product requirements, specifications, and test-plan development
Participate in technical reviews and lead reviews when appropriate
Provide progress updates and issue escalations with project management
Support factory ECOs,



work-instruction verification, and end-of-life issues
Requirements: Degree in physics or engineering physics preferred
Mechanical or electrical engineering degree with optics experience considered
At least five years of new product development experience
Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary technical teams
Attention to detail in compliance matrices and technical reports
Bring optics, technical communication, and systems development capabilities to VIAVI products from research through manufacturing support.
