As a Staff Software Engineer on Rippling's Financial Services team, you will anchor the Money Movement and Treasury architecture hub. You will own deterministic, config-driven, incrementally testable ledger architecture. The work supports reconciliation, tax liabilities, payment systems, and regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities: Redesign General Ledger and reconciliation systems for deterministic processing
Establish universal primitives across historically disjointed payment systems
Develop reconciliation replay and testing frameworks with Payments Data
Anchor the Seattle site and mentor Senior engineers




Collaborate with Tax and Accounting teams on requirements
Requirements: Eight or more years of professional software engineering experience
Solid backend development and distributed systems background
Large-scale fault-tolerant architecture design experience
Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or another modern backend language
Experience with SQL or NoSQL and Spark or Flink
Bring architecture leadership, backend expertise, and reconciliation experience to Rippling's Seattle financial systems engineering team.
