As an experienced Specialist Drilling Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across operating and future SAGD areas. You will solve complex problems, deliver recommendations, and support safe, effective outcomes. The role also offers developing completions engineering responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver complex drilling engineering projects independently
Provide expert analysis and recommendations for drilling studies
Solve technical problems using comparative engineering analysis
Coordinate project activities and review technical deliverables




Mentor engineers and guide assigned project personnel
Requirements: Engineering or Applied Science degree, or equivalent experience
At least 12 years of relevant experience
Advanced engineering techniques and procedures expertise
Experience across multiple projects or deep technical expertise
Understanding of change implementation across multiple sites
Apply advanced drilling expertise, technical leadership, and engineering judgment across Suncor’s Calgary-based SAGD operations and projects.
