Lead Breakthrough T1D’s national information technology strategy remotely from anywhere in Canada, with responsibility for digital evolution and responsible AI.
The National Director, Information Technology partners with senior leaders to shape multi-year technology priorities. This experienced leader oversees enterprise applications, cybersecurity, data and analytics, digital platforms, and service delivery. The position connects technology investment with mission delivery, research collaboration, fundraising, advocacy, and organizational operations.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute multi-year IT and digital strategies
Lead responsible AI governance, standards, controls, and education
Oversee applications, infrastructure, platforms, data, and cybersecurity
Guide technology selection, implementation,



and integration
Build and retain a customer-centred information technology team
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
At least seven years of progressive information technology leadership
Experience leading enterprise-wide initiatives and multidisciplinary teams
Cybersecurity, privacy, and data sovereignty experience in Canada
Digital transformation experience with cloud and systems integration
Bring strategic leadership across responsible AI, cybersecurity, enterprise technology, and data analytics to Breakthrough T1D.
