This experienced Safety Manager independently owns the safety function within a trucking workplace. The work focuses on FMCSA compliance, driver behavior, operational risk, and continuous improvement. You will coordinate audits, investigations, training, policies, documentation, and safety performance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee fleet safety programs for DOT and FMCSA compliance
Conduct audits, inspections, and root-cause incident investigations
Enforce driver safety policies and compliance standards
Track violations, incidents, scores, and improvement initiatives




Partner with operations to reduce operational risk
Requirements: Three-plus years in transportation safety, fleet safety, or trucking compliance
Strong DOT and FMCSA regulatory knowledge
Experience in trucking or logistics environments
Hands-on experience managing the safety function independently
Audit, investigation, communication, and leadership experience
