Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences seeks a Recreation Therapist for its Forensic Rehabilitation Unit. The position uses recovery-focused care and supports treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery programming. You will contribute to patient Plans of Care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities: Assess individualized and group therapeutic recreation needs
Develop and implement therapeutic recreation programs
Evaluate programs supporting treatment and rehabilitation
Provide functional and strength-based social skill programs
Contribute to patient Plans of Care
Requirements: Therapeutic Recreation degree or diploma
Two years of related experience
Current TRO membership
Knowledge of recovery and mental illness
Valid driver's license and CPR Level HCP certification
Use therapeutic recreation assessment, program design, and mental health knowledge to support forensic rehabilitation patients at Ontario Shores.
