As a Refrigeration Mechanic, you will assemble, install, repair, and maintain refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance and operational checks on air- or water-cooled systems. The work supports Facilities Maintenance and Engineering across a multisite healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities: Assemble, install, repair, and maintain refrigeration equipment
Service air conditioning equipment and related mechanical systems
Perform continued preventative maintenance on cooling systems
Complete operational performance checks according to established standards




Troubleshoot refrigeration and HVAC equipment throughout the facility
Requirements: Accredited Journeyperson Refrigeration Mechanic Certificate from Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training
Three to five years of refrigeration mechanic experience
Solid knowledge of refrigeration, HVAC, and mechanical systems
Experience using computerized maintenance management systems
Ability to read schematics and communicate effectively in English
Apply refrigeration maintenance, HVAC troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance expertise within Alberta Children's Hospital's Facilities Maintenance and Engineering program.
