Interior Health seeks an experienced, reliable, flexible, and motivated Medical Laboratory Assistant for its Medical Laboratory Department. The role supports safe, convenient, respectful, and accessible laboratory services within a 24/7 tertiary hospital. Programs include chemistry, hematology, microbiology, histopathology, cytology, and transfusion medicine.
Key Responsibilities: Collect blood and specimen samples from patients
Prepare blood and other specimens for analysis
Distribute specimens to departments and outside laboratories
Operate related laboratory equipment
Enter data into the Laboratory Information System
Requirements: Experience as a Medical Laboratory Assistant
Reliable, adaptable, and motivated approach
Interest in Medical Laboratory Science
Availability for rotating days, evenings, and nights
Ability to perform related clerical duties
Bring specimen collection, laboratory equipment, and information system skills to Interior Health’s Royal Inland Hospital Laboratory.
