This experienced contractor role supports Bluestar Engineering Ltd., a Calgary-based EPCM company serving upstream oil and gas projects. You will check civil and structural drawings, 3D CAD models, vendor drawings, and bills of materials. The engagement requires approximately 10 to 20 hours weekly, depending on project requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Check plot plans, pile layouts, and civil drawings
Review structural drawings and 3D CAD models
Use Navisworks to identify design issues and clashes
Assess vendor drawings against requirements and 3D models
Coordinate with project leads and CSA designers
Requirements: Engineering Technologist Diploma or equivalent
Seven or more years of checking experience
Seven or more years in an EPCM setting
Extensive AutoCAD drafting software knowledge
Robust written and verbal communication skills
Bring civil structural checking, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and EPCM experience to Bluestar projects supporting defined scope, schedules, and budgets.
