Provide patient-oriented nursing care as a part-time Registered Practical Nurse with Extendicare, applying provincial standards and person-centered practice.
Reporting to the Director of Care or Director of Health and Wellness, the Registered Practical Nurse delivers planned, goal-directed care. You will assess residents, maintain care documentation, administer medications and treatments, and coordinate services with interdisciplinary teams. This position supports residents in Extendicare long-term care homes across Canada.
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct resident care and administer medications and treatments
Complete assessments, care plans, and accurate clinical documentation
Evaluate care plan effectiveness and communicate required changes




Respond to significant condition changes and medical emergencies
Teach, delegate, and direct unregulated care providers
Requirements: Registered Practical Nurse qualification and applicable scope of practice
Ability to follow provincial standards and Extendicare policies
Ability to coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
Ability to administer drugs and narcotics safely
Commitment to ethics, morality, integrity, and person-centered care
Bring clinical assessment, medication administration, and coordinated resident care skills to Extendicare’s part time nursing team.
