Reporting to the Director of Community Engagement, the Development Officer develops knowledge of programs and funding needs. The role builds relationships with donors, alumni, businesses, and community organizations. It identifies partnerships, sponsorships, and philanthropic support while preparing proposals and soliciting contributions.
Key Responsibilities: Build productive relationships with community stakeholders
Secure new and renewing financial support
Maintain an active donor and sponsor portfolio
Track commitments within the relationship database




Coordinate gift documentation and recognition
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience
Three years’ related fundraising, communications, events, or public relations experience
Preferred postsecondary educational experience
Knowledge of fund development practices
Confident, qualified communication and independent work abilities
Support Medicine Hat College through fundraising, proposal development, donor engagement, and accurate gift administration.
