Use milling, turning, and inspection expertise as a CNC Machinist at LMI Machine Group, producing high-quality parts within specification and schedule.
This Machinist role supports production of parts for assembly while following processes and procedures. You will perform setups, read drawings, inspect components, and support part documentation. The position also involves maintenance, changeovers, troubleshooting, and handoffs for successful production.
Key Responsibilities: Set up new and previously manufactured components
Read drawings and execute appropriate inspection procedures
Create inspection plans and part documentation
Provide program, fixture, and tooling improvement input
Train operators and mentor developing machinists
Requirements: Experience with milling and turning
Horizontal, five-axis, and live tooling lathe experience preferred
Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
Gibbs programming knowledge preferred
Robust organization, multitasking, and time management skills
