As a Recreation Worker, you will develop and lead activities shaped by resident information, choices, and AgeCare’s programming approach. You will facilitate opportunities that support wellbeing, creativity, lifelong learning, personal relationships, and community. The position suits candidates with senior-care experience or relevant recreation education.
Key Responsibilities: Develop meaningful recreation and leisure pursuits
Lead programs maximizing residents’ skills and abilities
Support spontaneous and planned resident opportunities
Foster engagement across departments through meaningful activities
Observe and report changes in activity participation
Requirements: Experience working with seniors is preferred
Long-term care experience is preferred
Diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies
Diploma or degree in therapeutic recreation or related field
Health care education with recreation services experience accepted
Use therapeutic recreation, communication, and resident-centered programming skills to create purposeful experiences for AgeCare residents.
