Support resident care at AgeCare by following care plans, observing needs, and helping maintain a safe workplace for everyone.
The Personal Support Worker provides resident care while assisting with identifying needs and monitoring services. This position requires documentation, bedside care knowledge, sanitation awareness, and understanding of geriatric residents. PSWs also participate in education sessions, meetings, workshops, and staff onboarding as directed.
Key Responsibilities: Provide resident care according to established care plans
Observe residents and report findings to supervisors
Document resident care information as directed
Attend education sessions, meetings, and workshops
Follow IPAC policies and procedures consistently
Requirements: Graduate of a Personal Support Worker certificate or diploma program
Meet Ministry of Training vocational standards
Meet National Association of Career Colleges standards
Meet Ontario Community Support Association standards
Know bedside care, sanitation, cleaning, and geriatric needs
Bring resident care, documentation, bedside care, and infection prevention knowledge to AgeCare’s supportive communities.
