Lead person-centered recreation programs at Extendicare, using communication and leadership skills to enrich residents’ quality of life. This is a full time position.
As Recreation Manager, you will guide recreation staff and volunteers in a seniors’ care setting. You will plan, implement, document, and evaluate programs while supporting resident participation, family satisfaction, and meaningful experiences. The position requires post-secondary education in Recreation Therapy or Therapeutic Recreation, plus relevant healthcare and program-planning experience.
Key Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and motivate recreation staff and volunteers
Develop and implement meaningful resident programs and activities
Achieve resident and family satisfaction targets




Maintain budgets and monitor departmental expenditures
Promote community engagement through volunteers and community partners
Requirements: Post-secondary education in Recreation Therapy or Therapeutic Recreation
Minimum one year of experience in a healthcare setting
Minimum two years’ senior care program-planning experience
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Valid Vulnerable Sector Search completed within six months
Bring person-centered leadership, recreation planning, and senior care experience to Extendicare’s resident-focused programs and services.
