Provide resident care with AgeCare as a Health Care Aide, applying protected transfer techniques and personal care skills under nursing supervision.
This Health Care Aide works within a care team to meet individual resident needs. Under a Staff Nurse’s supervision, the HCA provides basic care and services. Duties include bathing, feeding, transfers, treatments, and mobility assistance.
Key Responsibilities: Bathed, showered, and washed residents following care procedures
Assisted transfers using lifts, belts, and protective controls
Fed residents according to care plan dietary requirements
Provided routine treatments under Staff Nurse direction
Escorted residents to dining, therapy, and recreation activities
Requirements: One year of continuing care experience preferred
Recognized PCA or HCA certificate course completion
Active CLHA registration required
Fluent English communication, orally and in writing
Post-secondary education considered an asset
Support AgeCare residents through safe personal care, transfers, feeding, treatments, and compassionate daily mobility assistance.
