Demonstrate Earth Sciences laboratory techniques at Brock University while supporting students, marking reports, and maintaining safe lab conditions on campus as needed.
This Lab Demonstrator position requires an MSc or current graduate enrollment in Earth Sciences. The successful candidate must have completed ERSC 1P02 or an equivalent course. Working under the Senior Lab Instructor, you will introduce laboratory activities, teach procedures, assist students, and manage preparation, cleanup, and marking.
Key Responsibilities: Present introductions to scheduled Earth Sciences laboratory activities
Demonstrate laboratory techniques and assist students during labs
Maintain safe laboratory conditions throughout assigned sessions
Prepare and clean up laboratory materials and spaces
Mark lab reports and attend meetings as needed
Requirements: Hold an MSc in Earth Sciences
Currently enroll in a graduate Earth Sciences program
Complete ERSC 1P02 or an equivalent course
Become familiar with required laboratory procedures
Work under the direction of the Senior Lab Instructor
Support Brock University students through Earth Sciences demonstrations, laboratory preparation, secure instruction, and accurate report marking.
