Deliver welcoming museum experiences in Ottawa through proactive service, product knowledge, and visitor-focused sales. The Canadian Museum of Nature offers part time holiday and occasional Host positions.
As a Host with the Visitor Planning team, you will understand visitor needs, build rapport, and promote memberships, products, and services. You will communicate with visitors, clients, and members in person and by phone, including during events and after-hours. The role also supports ticketing, payment processing, cash balancing, and feedback collection at the Victoria Memorial Museum Building.
Key Responsibilities: Gauge visitor needs and recommend relevant museum offers
Build rapport while promoting memberships and services
Provide customer service during events and after-hours




Receive payments and prepare deposits accurately
Attend required meetings and support team duties
Requirements: Secondary school completion or an equivalent qualification
Experience building rapport and increasing visitor satisfaction
Experience meeting sales goals through customer-focused selling
Point-of-Sale software and cash-handling experience is an asset
Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
Use visitor needs, communication, sales, and payment-processing experience to support engaging service at the Museum.
