Plan resident-directed recreation programs for Shannex at Parkland Ancaster, applying senior wellness knowledge and solid communication skills. This part-time role is located in Ancaster, Ontario.
The Recreation Coordinator develops programming for residents across all Lifestyle Options and six dimensions of wellness. You will help residents define goals, support the Harmony Program, and review activities against resident needs and expectations. The position also contributes to resident orientation and full-scope wellness planning with the Recreation team.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure Harmony Program opportunities across all Lifestyle Options
Help residents define strategies for achieving wellness goals
Participate in the Resident Orientation program
Review resident-directed programs and community-wide programming
Collaborate on full-scope wellness programming for service lines
Requirements: Two years’ recreation planning experience with seniors
Experience in healthcare or senior living environments
Knowledge of physical, social, and emotional wellness dimensions
Creative arts passion, including music or art therapy
Flexible hours and shifts, including evenings and weekends
Use recreation planning, resident engagement, and six-dimension wellness knowledge to shape meaningful programming at Parkland Ancaster.
