The University of Calgary is seeking a postdoctoral researcher for a one-year appointment beginning September 1, 2027, or January 1, 2028. The work will take place under a faculty member’s direction and supervision. Extension or renewal may be possible based on satisfactory performance.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct research within the Department of Mathematics and Statistics
Work under direction and supervision of faculty
Identify a robust match with current research areas
Concurrently apply for Sessional Teaching positions
Requirements: Normally hold a PhD within five appointment-start years
Meet the relevant PhD award-date requirement
Demonstrate alignment with departmental research areas
Review applicable postdoctoral collective agreement terms
Bring recent doctoral research to UCalgary’s mathematics and statistics community through faculty-supervised scholarship and potential departmental teaching.
