Secure new business by sourcing and calling clients to book their transportation needs - Shipment Coordination: Work closely with clients to understand their transportation needs, assess cargo requirements, and organize shipments efficiently. - Carrier Selection: Identify, evaluate, and select appropriate carriers based on specific client needs, routes, costs, and deadlines. - Rate Negotiation: Negotiate transportation rates with carriers to ensure competitive costs while maintaining high service standards. - Shipment Tracking: Ensure continuous tracking of shipments in transit, quickly resolve any potential issues, and provide regular updates to clients.
Qualifications - Excellent communication and negotiation skills; - Knowledge of truck transport and industry practices; - Ability to work under pressure and resolve problems quickly; - A natural ability to sell - French and English bilingualism required; (written or verbal exchanges with the client) - Proficiency in computer systems, notably Microsoft Office, TMS, Excel, and Outlook.
