The Senior Mechanical Layout Designer creates detailed designs for complex automation systems. You will develop drawings, assemblies, layouts, and Bills of Materials while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, assembly, and project teams. The work covers the complete project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities: Design custom packaging machinery and automated equipment
Create mechanical drawings, assemblies, layouts, and BOMs
Integrate OEM components into turnkey automation systems
Review designs for manufacturability, quality, performance, and cost
Support machine testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and improvement
Requirements: Mechanical Engineering degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification
Five to eight years of mechanical design experience
Experience with automated equipment and complex mechanical systems
CAD proficiency; Autodesk Inventor is highly desirable
Knowledge of manufacturing, pneumatics, safety, and power transmission
