As Structural Section Manager, you will lead HDR’s Building Engineering Services structural team in Toronto. The position combines staff management, project management, workload coordination, and technical leadership. You will support structural analysis, design, construction-phase services, marketing, and multidisciplinary collaboration across HDR offices.
Key Responsibilities: Direct daily Structural section operations, morale, profitability, and quality control
Manage key structural projects from production through successful delivery
Mentor, train, develop, and manage engineers and designers
Provide technical leadership across analysis, design, and construction services




Coordinate workload, staffing, reviews, and multidisciplinary project delivery
Requirements: Prior leadership and management experience
Preferred master’s degree in Structural Engineering
Forward-thinking technical aptitude and rigorous validation of AI-generated outputs
Knowledge of engineering fundamentals, regulations, codes, and standards
Professional or industry association engagement is preferred
