Support therapeutic recreation programs as a Therapy Aide, using resident observation, communication, and data collection to understand individual needs. Work location is not specified.
At AgeCare, this role supports assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and daily operations for therapeutic recreation. You will contribute to resident rehabilitation and well-being while promoting independence and engagement. The position works with Recreation Therapists, residents, families, volunteers, and care team members.
Key Responsibilities: Identify resident needs, preferences, and interests through observation
Assist with Recreation Therapy admission assessments and leisure histories
Share relevant information with Recreation Therapists and care teams




Deliver individualized and group recreation programs
Support secure resident transportation and outing accountability
Requirements: Current CPR certification required
Recreation Therapy Aide or Health Care Aide certificate preferred
Standard First Aid certification considered an asset
Experience with seniors or therapeutic recreation preferred
Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills required
Bring compassionate communication and recreation support skills to help AgeCare residents pursue meaningful engagement and independence.
