Working in Food and Nutrition Services, you will portion food, serve therapeutic diets, and maintain nourishment carts. The department supports Baycrest Hospital, the Apotex Jewish Home for the Aged, and two day centres. Your work follows sanitation, infection control, safety, and Kashruth standards.
Key Responsibilities: Portion food accurately according to production orders
Serve residents according to therapeutic diets and preferences
Maintain supplies, equipment, and nourishment carts
Collect dishes and operate the dish machine
Clean and sanitize kitchen and dining areas
Requirements: High school completion or equivalent
Current Public Health Food Handlers Certification
One year food service experience preferred
Effective English oral and written communication
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Bring food preparation, sanitation, and customer service skills to Baycrest's geriatric care community as a Food Service Aide.
