Support two gentlemen in Lethbridge through personal care, physical supports, and community participation during alternating weekend shifts. This is a term position.
SACLA is recruiting a Community Support Worker for House 1516, supporting two gentlemen in their own home. The position includes lifting, transferring, physical supports, and personal care. You will encourage self-advocacy, relationships, community membership, and day-to-day requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Provide lifting, transferring, and physical supports
Deliver personal care in the gentlemen’s home
Support self-advocacy and positive community participation
Encourage neighborhood walks and social relationships
Meet day-to-day requirements and provide companionship
Requirements: Ability to provide required physical supports
Experience with tube feeding is an asset
Experience with alternative communication methods is an asset
Availability Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 3pm
Availability for a term up to six months
