Support residents at a Charlottetown nursing home as a Health Care Aide using personal care and patient monitoring skills. This permanent, full-time position is performed onsite.
This Health Care Aide position requires one to less than two years of experience and secondary school graduation. You will support patients in a nursing home or home for the aged. Daily work includes personal care, vital signs, meals, mobility, room maintenance, and emergency first aid.
Key Responsibilities: Bathe, dress, groom, and provide personal care
Take patients' blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
Serve meal trays and feed patients
Weigh, lift, turn, position, and transport patients
Answer call signals and administer emergency first aid
Requirements: Secondary school graduation certificate
One year to less than two years' experience
First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
Valid driver's licence and criminal record check
Ability to perform physically demanding work onsite
