Own full-cycle accounting for commercial construction projects in Calgary, using job costing, invoice matching, and progress billing expertise daily.
Reporting to the Controller, this Accountant supports a growing commercial development and construction company delivering projects across Canada. You will manage transaction-cycle activities spanning payables, receivables, month-end work, and tax returns. The position requires explicit communication with the office, field, and management.
Key Responsibilities: Code supplier and subcontractor invoices to jobs and cost codes
Match invoices with purchase orders and subcontracts
Prepare payment runs and administer holdbacks
Prepare progress invoices, draw packages, and collections follow-up




Complete accruals, reconciliations, and GST and PST returns
Requirements: Three or more years of full-cycle accounting experience
Construction, engineering, or project-based business experience
Job costing, holdbacks, and progress billing experience
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel
Accounting diploma or degree; designation progress is an asset
