Support engineering design education at the University of Ottawa Main Campus through student contact, grading, and exam proctoring in English.
This Teaching Assistant supports Introduction to Engineering Design, GNG1103, Section F, during the 2027 Winter Semester. The work includes communicating with students, grading, and proctoring mid-term and final exams. Excellent knowledge of the engineering design process and Makerspace or Brunsfield Centre tools is required.
Key Responsibilities: Provide contact with students for the assigned engineering design course
Grade course work according to assigned teaching expectations
Proctor the mid-term examination
Proctor the final examination
Complete 130 total work hours between January and April
Requirements: Excellent knowledge of the engineering design process
Experience using tools available in Makerspace
Experience using tools available in Brunsfield Centre
Very positive teaching skills in design
Ability to work in English
Apply engineering design knowledge, teaching skills, grading, and proctoring experience as a University of Ottawa Teaching Assistant.
