Operate turf equipment across Parks Services sites as a seasonal part-time Parks Equipment Operator with the City of Greater Sudbury. Riding mower experience matters.
Working under the Superintendent of Horticulture, this position maintains turf and grounds within Parks Services sites. You will operate riding mowers, farm or municipal tractors, and attachments. The work also requires equipment knowledge, maintenance awareness, and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities: Operate riding mowers with ten-foot decks or greater
Operate farm tractors with maintenance attachments
Operate municipal tractors within Parks Services sites
Maintain turf and grounds across assigned parks
Follow CGS safety procedures and applicable legislation
Requirements: Secondary School Grade XII education completed
Six months of directly related experience
Proven riding mower operating ability
Mechanical knowledge to prevent equipment damage
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Bring tractor operation, mechanical knowledge, and protected driving skills to turf and grounds maintenance for Greater Sudbury Parks Services.
