As Patient Portering Supervisor, you will lead patient transport associates, oversee daily service delivery, and manage unionized staff. The position includes preparing shift reports, using portering and EVS management software, and contributing to improvement plans and best practices.
Key Responsibilities: Lead associates toward patient transport key performance indicators
Create and distribute assignment sheets for each shift
Produce shift reports and maintenance deficiency requests
Conduct associate training and support policy adherence
Assist with improvement plans and portering best practices
Requirements: Two or more years of supervisory experience in a related field
Experience in healthcare or acute care environments
Familiarity with portering and EVS management software
Knowledge of infection control and standard precautions
Excellent prioritization and administrative organization skills
Use hospital portering leadership, reporting, and service improvement skills to coordinate associates and maintain dependable patient transport operations.
