Monitor security operations at Hootsuite using incident response, malware analysis, and network fundamentals in a hybrid Vancouver or Toronto role. Help identify attacks.
As a Junior Cyber Incident Response Analyst, you will support Hootsuite’s Security team across product, services, and IT infrastructure. You will analyze and triage incidents, respond to alerts, and help prevent threats through technologies, controls, and processes. The position reports to the Director, Information Security.
Key Responsibilities: Monitor corporate and customer-facing systems during daily security operations
Analyze and triage incidents involving malware and network activity
Escalate alerts from MSSP and security tools




Execute operational runbooks supporting technical incident response
Participate in the security incident on-call rotation
Requirements: One to two years in security or systems roles
Knowledge of network protocols and Layer 7 technologies
Cloud, preferably AWS, and Unix or Linux experience
Scripting experience with Bash, Python, YAML, or PowerShell
Understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and security products
Apply incident analysis, network knowledge, and security tooling experience to protect Hootsuite systems in Vancouver or Toronto.
