The Analyst provides independent company and sector coverage within an assigned sector. You will evaluate companies and industries through financial-statement analysis, forecasting, valuation, and scenario analysis. Your research will support portfolio managers through differentiated investment insights and actionable recommendations.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct fundamental research on companies and industries within coverage sectors
Develop financial models, forecasts, scenarios, and equity valuations
Present investment ideas and recommendations to portfolio managers
Monitor investments, theses, valuations,
catalysts, and key risks
Communicate changes in fundamentals, earnings expectations, and conviction
Requirements: Minimum five years of relevant equity research or investment experience
Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline
Solid financial-statement analysis and financial-modelling skills
Knowledge of corporate finance and public equity markets
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
Apply fundamental research, valuation, and investment judgment as an Equity Research Analyst supporting AGF portfolio managers.
