Support client-centred care as a casual Community Health Nurse with Island Health, applying clinical assessment and evidence-based nursing practice. Shifts are as requested.
The Registered Nurse works across community clinical settings and may travel between multiple sites. This position collaborates with clients, healthcare teams, and primary care providers. Care includes health promotion, illness prevention, treatment, palliation, and restoration.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver nursing care through established policies and guidelines
Coordinate health services with clients and care teams
Assess clinical and diagnostic needs over time
Support chronic disease, geriatric, and palliative care




Communicate effectively in interprofessional practice
Requirements: Practicing RN registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives
Two years’ recent related experience or equivalent combination
Valid BC driver’s license for community practice
Ability to provide culturally secure, trauma-informed care
Ability to manage time, resources, and care coordination
Bring registered nursing expertise, collaborative communication, and community practice knowledge to Island Health’s casual service delivery.
