As Safety Team Leader with Penske Logistics Canada Ltd., you will coach location drivers and maintain compliance with regulatory agencies. Your work includes Smith System training, safety metrics, accident investigations, and driver qualification documentation. You will also support onboarding, audits, meetings, and operational needs while promoting secure performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach drivers on Smith System programs and compliance goals
- Monitor safety metrics, audits, inspections, and driver logs
- Investigate accidents, document findings, and provide countermeasures
- Conduct orientations and coordinate new-hire training plans
- Support weekly meetings, facility inspections, and operations coverage
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One-plus year Health and Safety or Operations Management experience
- Knowledge of MTO and workplace health and safety regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work rotating shifts and travel as necessary
