Support Firebag SAGD growth from Suncor’s Calgary head office through operations readiness, project integration, commissioning, and start-up planning.
As a Senior Operations Advisor, you will apply a Ready for Operations mindset across project concept development, execution, commissioning, start-up, and closeout. The work focuses on integrating future scopes into the existing Firebag asset while coordinating Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, EPCs, production stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Firebag growth project readiness using OEMS and DAMP processes
- Develop and steward RFO plans through every project stage
- Plan Operations, Maintenance, and Reliability deliverables in detail
- Coordinate EPCs, stakeholders, production units,
and RFO subject matter experts
- Identify scope risks and define mitigation solutions
Requirements:
- Engineering certificate, trade certification, or relevant degree
- Minimum seven years of progressive SAGD plant operations experience
- Understanding of lifecycle management and operational integration principles
- Ability to translate technical documentation into operational plans
- Robust communication and stakeholder engagement skills
