Analyze municipal budgets with the City of North Vancouver using financial analysis, variance investigation, and Microsoft Office skills. This is regular full time work.

As a Budget Analyst I, you will support designated City departments through annual operating and capital budget administration. You will monitor revenues and expenditures, prepare reports, advise departments, and contribute to financial process improvements. Knowledge of Public Sector Accounting Board standards is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, coordinate, and administer operating and capital budgets
- Monitor revenues and expenditures across designated City departments
- Investigate budget variances and prepare related reports
- Advise departments on budgetary matters and financial processes
- Participate in special studies,



projects, and process improvements

Requirements:

- Considerable financial or budget management experience in a similar position
- Knowledge of Public Sector Accounting Board standards
- Professional designation or significant accounting qualification progress preferred
- Analytical, problem-solving, collaborative, and communication skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency; PeopleSoft familiarity is advantageous
