Lead laboratory operations at Nats’oojeh Hospital and Health Centre in Fort St. James, combining clinical expertise with proven leadership skills.

Reporting to the Health Service Administrator or designate, this Northern Health position manages the Laboratory Department’s administrative and technical operations. You will direct staff, maintain quality assurance, and oversee policies, procedures, budgets, reports, personnel, and records. The schedule rotates between Monday to Thursday and Tuesday to Friday, from 07:00 to 17:30. Mandatory on-call participation is integral to the position.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage overall administrative and technical laboratory operations
- Plan, organize, and direct laboratory staff work
- Maintain suitable quality assurance across laboratory services
- Oversee policies, procedures,



budgets, reports, and records
- Establish standards, measure performance, and take corrective action

Requirements:

- Recognized Medical Laboratory Technology program graduate
- Bachelor of Science or Advanced Registered Technologist Certificate
- Administrative training such as a departmental management certificate
- Current Canadian Society of Laboratory Technologists certification
- Five years recent experience, including two supervisory years
